Mette-Marit from Norway appeared with her daughter Ingrid Alexandra at two official appointments in Oslo.
Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit (51) and her daughter Princess Ingrid Alexandra (20) visited the University Hospital in Drammen together on Friday (December 13th). The visit took place on Lucia Day, an important holiday in Scandinavia. The two royals were greeted by kindergarten children in Lucia costumes with the traditional Lucia song.
the little singers were enthusiastic about the distinguished visit. They proudly presented their Lucia lights to the two princesses and gave one of them as a gift to Ingrid Alexandra.
Another special appointment for Princess Ingrid Alexandra
It was a special day for the 20-year-old future heir to the throne: She is currently on Christmas vacation from her military training at the Skjold base in the northern Norwegian province of Troms. After the hospital visit, there was another important appointment on the royal program: together with her parents Mette-Marit and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway (51), she took part in the traditional government lunch for the first time.
The royal family expert Caroline Vagle emphasizes the importance of this step in the tabloid: “This is a novelty. As far as we know, she has never been at a lunch like this before.” So far, the princess has generally attended few official appointments. “I guess the plan was to keep it that way until she became crown princess,” Vagle told the Norwegian newspaper.
In any case, mother Mette-Marit was happy about the time she spent with her daughter. When journalists asked what it was like to have Ingrid Alexandra at home for the holidays, she replied beamingly: “It’s very nice to have Ingrid with us.”
Mette-Marit and Haakon have been married since 2001. In addition to Ingrid Alexandra, they also have son Sverre Magnus from Norway (19). Mette-Marit brought her firstborn, Marius Borg Høiby (27), into the marriage. He recently caused dramatic scandals and is currently undergoing rehab, as his lawyer confirmed to the daily newspaper “Dagbladet”.
