A woman who claims she was raped as a 13-year-old by rappers Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs has spoken about her experiences in an interview.
After the serious allegations against rapper Jay-Z, the woman concerned spoke out and admitted that there were some discrepancies in her allegations. In memory of this “catastrophic event,” she “made some mistakes,” she said in an interview with “NBC News.”
The station did not reveal the woman’s identity or show her face, but said she was a 38-year-old mother from Alabama. She accuses rappers Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping her in September 2000 after a party on the sidelines of the MTV Video Music Awards. She was only 13 years old at the time. The woman filed her civil lawsuit in connection with the Sean “Diddy” Combs abuse scandal.
Alleged victim gives an interview to US broadcaster
She told NBC News that she was approached by Combs’ driver at the MTV Video Music Awards. He drove her to a white house where a party was taking place. There she met the musicians Benji and Joel Madden. “I spoke to Benji Madden about his tattoo,” the woman claimed. However, a spokesman for the Madden brothers told the broadcaster that the musicians were not at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000 because they were on tour in the Midwest at the same time.
There is another discrepancy about what happened after the alleged rape. The woman claims to have called her father at a gas station and asked him to pick her up. “We drove home without saying a word to each other. He didn’t ask me what happened, what I did or where I had been,” she said. “NBC News” confronted the man with his daughter’s statements, but he could not confirm them. “I feel like I should remember that, but I don’t. I’ve got a lot going on. But I mean, that’s something that definitely would have stuck in my mind,” he said.

Jay-Z denies all allegations
However, the alleged victim repeated the allegations against Jay-Z to NBC News. She had a drink at the party and then felt dizzy. Then Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her while a “famous woman” watched. Just because she doesn’t remember every detail of the evening after 24 years doesn’t mean her allegations are false, the woman said. Her attorney, Tony Buzbee, who represents more than 120 of Combs’ alleged victims, said he would re-examine the woman’s allegations and collect more evidence. She even agreed to take a lie detector test. “No client has ever suggested that to me before,” Buzbee said.
Jay-Z and his lawyer have again denied the allegations. “This incident did not happen,” the rapper said in a statement and accused the woman’s lawyer of only acting out of greed and fame. “Justice will prevail. It’s over before it even begins. This lawyer just doesn’t understand it yet, but he will soon,” says the musician, confident of victory. Jay-Z’s lawyer asked the court to immediately drop the lawsuit against his client because it appears to have been “filed without proper review.”
