He had certainly imagined this evening differently: Jamie Foxx had to be treated in the hospital after an attack on his birthday. The 57-year-old visited an Asian restaurant in Beverly Hills with his family. There is said to have been a verbal argument before a glass was thrown at the actor, hitting him in the mouth. “He needed stitches and is currently recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in the hands of law enforcement,” Foxx’s spokesman told US magazine, among others. The actor recently spoke in a Netflix special about the consequences of his serious stroke, which he suffered while filming in the spring of 2023. At first he felt a bad headache, then lost consciousness. “When I woke up, I was in a wheelchair. I couldn’t walk,” Foxx said. The memory of 20 days of his life has been completely erased.
