“Mindful Morden” gets a second season
Family man, mafia boss and embarrassment murderer: Tom Schilling will once again play the international audience favorite Björn Diemel. Netflix has confirmed a sequel to Mindful Morden.
Even more dark humor: Netflix has announced a sequel to its German series “Achtsam Morden”. The second season provides “lots of new ideas for a mindful mindset and a good work-life balance. After all, nobody knows this as well as Björn Diemel,” played by Tom Schilling. “Family man, mafia boss and embarrassment murderer,” the streaming service summed it up.
The first season was not only a hit with audiences in Germany: “The darkly humorous series based on the bestselling series of the same name by Karsten Dusse reached the Netflix weekly top 10 in 66 countries.”
Filming for the second season is scheduled to begin next year. “Based on scripts by Doron Wisotzky, the series will again be produced by producer Jan Ehlert.” Tom Schilling, Emily Cox, Britta Hammelstein, Murathan Muslu, Peter Jordan and many others will also be there again.
The first novel in the series by the successful German author and lawyer Karsten Dusse has been translated into 26 languages. The German edition alone has sold more than one and a half million copies.
