With the participation of more than 500 people and organized by the Argentine Chamber of Biotechnology (CAB), the 11th edition of BioArgentina 2024 “We create a sustainable future” met in Mar del Plata to a wide and diverse range of actors in the biotechnology ecosystem, facilitating the exchange of ideas and collaboration between the main industry leaders.
“This year, the event stood out for its focus on innovation, sustainability and international cooperation, elements that continue to drive the growth of the sector,” organizers noted.
One of the most notable panels was Biotech Startups: Sustainable Innovations for the Future, which brought together companies such as EriSea, Nunatak Biotech and UNIBAIO. These startups shared their advances in biotechnology applied to global and sustainable solutions.
Graciela CicciaCoordinator of CAB Startup, highlighted how these initiatives are not only generating employment, but also promoting a transition towards a more environmentally responsible economy.
Another key moment was the participation of companies such as PharmaMar, the Spanish pharmaceutical company, and Y-TEC, linked to CONICET and YPF, who presented their advances in blue biotechnology.

The BioBusiness Roundswith more than 50 tables and more than 350 meetings, were the space for networking, facilitating interaction between investors, entrepreneurs and companies. “This dynamic and productive format allowed us to explore new alliances, identify strategic partners and generate valuable investment and collaboration opportunities”they highlighted from the organization.
