Rod Stewart mourns the loss of a “true friend”
The British rock and pop singer Sir Rod Stewart (79) also mourns the loss of his long-time companion Perry, to whom the Briton dedicated his life. “Dear Richard, farewell, my good friend. They say a person is lucky if he can count only a handful of true friends in his life, and you were certainly one of them,” Stewart said in his statement on the death of Richard Perry .
The singer further explained that he and his wife Penny Lancaster (53) “burst into tears” when writing the message. “You were there when Penny and I started dating and strengthened our relationship,” Stewart ended his post.

And the American singer and actress Barbra Streisand (82) also took part from the music producer. The 82-year-old wrote about a photo that shows Streisand and Perry at a young age: “He was a truly special person and I am so grateful that our paths crossed. Rest in musical peace.”
Perry was involved, among other things, in Streisand’s albums “Stoney End” and “Barbra Joan Streisand”, as the singer described in her article. The star producer also encouraged her to “record contemporary songs.” To this day, she is still grateful to the music producer for convincing her to record the song of the same name, “Stoney End” – a hit, as it later turned out.
