Hilary Swank became a mother for the first time in 2023. But thanks to her twins Aya and Ohm, the 50-year-old actress feels “like she’s 30.”

Hilary Swank (50) became a mother for the first time last year. Despite her late motherhood, the actress emphasized, “I feel like I’m 30 because I have 20-month-old babies.” Her twins Aya and Ohm would have given Swank a new perspective on life. “Everything is new again. You hear that, but until you experience it, you ask yourself, ‘What does that even mean?’ But now I know,” Swank said.

Motherhood would “make every time of the year special” for her. “Every day with them is so divine. It’s such a blessing and I’m so grateful and happy,” enthused the 50-year-old in the conversation with talk show hosts Hoda Kotb (60) and Jenna Bush Hager (43).

Her career came first

In October, Swank confessed that for most of her life she has been “focused on my other baby, which is my career.” She knew at the age of eight that she wanted to become an actress. “So I was very career-oriented and wasn’t ready to have children in my 20s, or even in my 30s, and then I got into my 40s and didn’t have a partner,” Swank said.

After a few failed relationships, Swank finally got together with entrepreneur Philip Schneider in 2016, whom she married two years later. With him, Swank’s desire to have children grew more and more. Nevertheless, she emphasized that she loved her job. “I hope I will always be an actress.”

Swank celebrated her first successes with her film roles in “Buffy the Vampire Killer” (1992) and “Karate Kid IV: The Next Generation” (1994). With her performances in “Boys Don’t Cry” (1999) and “Million Dollar Baby” (2004), she won a Golden Globe and an Oscar for Best Actress, respectively, establishing herself in the acting industry. Swank was most recently seen in the feature films “The Good Mother” (2023) and “Ordinary Angels” (2024).
