The stars look back on 2024 – a year full of successes, challenges and personal highlights.

For many stars, 2024 was a year of extremes – with ups and downs, private and professional successes, but also major challenges. While some celebrities spoke to the news agency spot on news looking back on a “great year”, others spoke of a “challenging time”.

The year was particularly successful for presenter Judith Rakers (48), who said goodbye to the “tagesschau” in January after 19 years. “For me personally, 2024 was a great year!” enthuses the 48-year-old. She became a bestseller with her first children’s book, her online magazine “Homefarming.de” was awarded the “Golden Blogger” and there was also reason to be happy in her private life: “My foal Charlie has been a riding horse since the summer of 2024 – and breaking it in “It’s worked so far without falling or breaking any bones,” laughs Rakers, who moved to a farm some time ago.

Successful through turbulent times

Pop star Thomas Anders (61) can also look back on an eventful year. “I have an incredible number of highlights,” reports the singer. His schedule was packed with around 80 shows, tours through America and France and various TV appearances. “I feel like a perpetual motion machine. I enjoy what I do and it always gives me strength,” says Anders.

For Victoria Swarovski (31), a long-held dream came true in 2024 when she hosted Bambi. “I’m super grateful for everything I’ve been able to experience this year,” sums up the Austrian. She also describes the collaboration with TV greats such as Thomas Gottschalk (74), Günther Jauch (68) and Barbara Schöneberger (50) as an “absolute highlight”. The “Let’s Dance” presenter was allowed to host their RTL show “Because they don’t know what’s happening” in December.

Steven Gätjen (52) describes himself as a “lucky man”. “So many great things happened, it was very fulfilling professionally. On the other hand, it is just as important that my loved ones and I are healthy. I have a great circle of friends who are always there for me. I am very grateful.” said the moderator.

Harald Glööckler (59) also looks back on a “great year full of events and wonderful moments”. Just like “Let’s Dance” star Massimo Sinató (44): “It was a great, successful and eventful year, but my conclusion is: The family remains and is the most important thing in life,” emphasizes the 44-year-old.

Thoughtful tones and gratitude

Ruth Moschner (48) strikes a more thoughtful tone. “2024 was incredibly challenging, actually on all levels,” admits the presenter. She had to “keep encouraging herself and motivating herself from time to time”. Due to personal changes, she came into greater contact with people in the care sector. “I’m blown away by how many great people there are in these areas.”

Carsten Maschmeyer (65) is grateful despite the economic challenges: “Despite all the difficulties we have, we can be grateful sometimes. We live in a functioning democracy and even after new elections we will be governed by convinced democrats. Despite all our weaknesses system, it stands out positively from the bizarre spectacle in the USA,” emphasizes the “The Lion’s Den” star.
