“Traumschiff” star Barbara Wussow remembers some episodes of the ZDF series most. “Three travel destinations have particularly influenced me during my career. On the one hand, there would be Australia with Ayers Rock, Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef. On the other hand, there was also the beautiful Amalfi Coast and of course the Maldives,” said the 63-year-old actress in a ZDF broadcast. Interview.
At the Great Barrier Reef, she donated to the coral reef reconstruction project so that new corals can grow along large baskets. “They send me new photos every six months,” says Wussow about the adoption project. The actress has been on board the “dream ship” since 2018.
What experience has particularly touched you over the years? “Here I have to think of one moment in particular: It was in Maui, Hawaii. After a tour of the island during a day off from filming, the bus driver suddenly played the song “Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World” by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. We drove down to the harbor . We were all able to look at our dream ship as the sun set. It was a poignant and touching moment.”
