The Government announced this year’s holiday calendar and it is very different from 2024.
Through the Decree 1027/2024the Government confirmed the holiday calendar 2025. He announced which days will be non-working days for tourist purposes, which holidays will be immutable and how many long weekends there will be, a special occasion to plan your next getaway to relax.

In addition, it was decided that what are known as “bridge holidays” are non-working days. That is, the decision about whether a person works or not on that date is the responsibility of their employer. Since it is not a holiday, it is not an obligation to leave the day off. These key dates are with tourist purposesand by moving, in some cases, national holidays to Monday, it allows workers to take more advantage of their rest.
On the other hand, in the national holidaysthe rest rules are mandatory. If you work on those days, you pay double.

How many holidays are there between January and March 2025
The holiday calendar brought bad news for those who were looking for an extra rest during the summer months to be able to get away to the beach, the mountains or simply enjoy the tranquility of their home.
The first holiday is January 1st for the New Year. But the next one, which coincides with the first long weekend of 2025, is just the Monday the 3rd and Tuesday the 4th, immovable holidays due to Carnival.
Lastly, but no longer in the summer season and school holidays, the Monday, March 24 is an immovable holiday. On this date, it is the National Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice, where the victims and missing persons are commemorated during the last civil-military dictatorship that occurred in our country during 1976 and 1983.

- Monday, June 16: Passage to the Immortality of General Don Martín Miguel de Güemes (transferred from 6/17).
- Friday, August 15: Non-working day for tourist purposes.
- Monday, August 17: Passage to the Immortality of General José de San Martín.
- Sunday, October 12: Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity.
- Friday, November 21: Non-working day for tourist purposes.
- Monday, November 24: National Sovereignty Day (moved from 11/20).
