Fashion trends often only have a short lifespan – they often go as quickly as they come. However, these pieces will survive 2024.
In the fast-moving fashion world, 2024 saw trend after trend. Sometimes suit vests were popular, sometimes capri pants and pleated skirts were in the foreground. In addition to temporary hype, there are some items of clothing that are still relevant this year. These pieces will remain fashionable in 2025.
Micro shorts
Skimpy panties had already heralded the 2024 fashion year. However, the trend of micro shorts will remain in 2025. At the fall fashion weeks they presented numerous labels as part of their spring and summer collections. Fashion houses like Fendi and Prada extended the fashion season for tight-fitting shorts on the catwalks.
Transparent parts
Naked dresses were an integral part of red carpets around the world last year. Whether in a lace-trimmed or completely transparent dress: stars showed a lot of skin in a wide variety of versions, including Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner. The trend will continue in 2025, but the focus will not only be on dresses. Shirts and trousers are also becoming transparent, as some fashion brands have shown.
Romantic materials
A fashion trend swam against the tide last fall: white lace. Light lace blouses, dresses and tops brought a touch of romance. Spring and summer 2025 will address this in several ways. Light materials like chiffon and delicate colors like powder pink come together in the upcoming season and evoke spring feelings alone or in combination with floral patterns. Lace fashion and therefore boho chic are still popular.
Voluminous silhouettes
Fashion enthusiasts attracted everyone’s attention with bubble skirts in late summer 2024. The voluminous skirts, which were originally known as balloon skirts, celebrated their comeback after around 20 years. In 2025, the fluffy fashion trend will enter the next round, but it is not just limited to skirts. The cloud-shaped silhouette will expand to jackets, tops and dresses next year.
