Duchess Meghan has apparently shared a little New Year’s greeting on a new Instagram account.

Duchess Meghan (43) is apparently surprising royal fans with a very special start to 2025. It has been rumored for many months that the Instagram account “@meghan” probably belongs to the wife of Prince Harry (40). Now it’s January 1st.

Prince Harry is said to have recorded the video

A woman dressed in white, who appears to be Duchess Meghan, walks barefoot along a beach in the clip. She writes “2025” in the sand with her finger before laughing and running away. Like, among other things, the video was probably recorded by Harry near the two’s shared home in Montecito, California.

According to the report, Meghan is looking forward to her return to social media. It’s a way to stay in touch with communities around the world and provide updates on current projects she’s working on. For example, she could also point to the work of the Archewell Foundation, which she founded together with her husband.

Duchess Meghan hinted at an Instagram comeback as early as 2022

With the clip, the Duchess of Sussex is now apparently celebrating her comeback on the social media platform, which she first hinted at several years ago. She had declared in August 2022 with “bright and devilish eyes”: “I’m coming back… to Instagram.” However, it was later mentioned that Meghan was no longer sure whether she would actually return to Instagram.

According to the article, she had to give up control of her original social media account after her engagement to Prince Harry in 2017. Meghan loved sharing her life with others, she explained at the time. But Harry loved her more. “It was a big change – a huge change to go from that kind of autonomy to a different life,” Meghan was quoted as saying.
