Duchess Meghan has returned with a clip on Instagram. This is how her return is received by those around her, the fans and the users.
Duchess Meghan (43) started the year 2025 in a very special way. After it was rumored that the Instagram account “@meghan” probably belongs to the wife of Prince Harry (40), it was posted there on January 1st. In the clip, Meghan walks barefoot along a beach. She writes “2025” in the sand with her finger before laughing and running away.
As the US magazine “People” reports, among others, Meghan is said to have been looking forward to her return to social media. It’s a way to stay in touch with communities around the world and provide updates on current projects she’s working on. The verified “meghan” account with the bio “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex” and around 662,000 followers and the first published clip with around 3.6 million views (numbers as of January 2nd, 10:30 a.m.) have already received reactions provided online.
Meghan’s make-up artist Daniel Martin is thrilled about the 43-year-old’s return to social media. “My sis is back. Watch this space.” (in German: “My sister is back. Get ready.”) he wrote in an Instagram Story and shared the clip with the hashtag #Meghan and a red heart emoji. Tennis star Serena Williams (43), also a confidante of Meghan, shared the clip with an emoji surrounded by hearts.
Without comment function
Not only the detail that Meghan apparently left out the “The” in her title “The Duchess of Sussex” in her bio caused critical comments online, but also the fact that Meghan deactivated the comment function. “Meghan Markle is still a coward. [Sie] “Turned off comments.” her explanation about the dangers of social media: “#MeghanMarkle rails against the poison that she believes social media is. […] And the first thing she does in 2025? She’s returning to social media.”
that their “Princess Meghan” has returned and have: “Would you leave your front door unlocked and wide open when your house is unattended? So why are Meghan’s haters so angry that she turned off the comments on her Instagram post?” agrees: “I hope she stays out of her comments section or limits it to her friends and people she trusts.”
