Jennifer Lopez received an award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. They celebrated a touching reunion.

Jennifer Lopez, 55, exuded a touch of spring during her appearance at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday (January 4). The singer arrived at the Creative Impact Awards in a lavender dress that turned heads.

Her halter mini gown included a sheer cape in the same color, which completed the look with sleeves and a train. She combined pointed pumps with transparent straps and a gold clutch. She had her hair pinned half up in a sleek look and kept her make-up subtle with a little mascara and nude lipstick. The singer and actress was presented with an award at the ceremony.

“Manhattan Love Story” reunion – and comeback?

“Thank you Variety. I’m honored to receive the ‘Legend and Groundbreaker Award’ at your Creative Impact Awards Brunch at PSFilmFest,” she wrote on Instagram alongside pictures from the event. “Thank you Ralph Fiennes and congratulations to my fellow prizewinners.” With this, Lopez hinted at a special reunion, which she highlighted once again.

Because her “Manhattan Love Story” co-star Ralph Fiennes (62) presented her with the award. “I can’t thank you enough, Ralph Fiennes, for your beautiful words and for our little reunion today,” Lopez wrote about the actor, who starred opposite her in the 2002 comedy “Maid in Manhattan.” “It was wonderful to see you. You brought tears to my eyes (That’s why I sniffled throughout my speech LOL).” She continued effusively: “I love you. Working with you has been one of the great highlights of my career so far. I say ‘so far’ because I hope I can do that again soon for ‘Maid in Manhattan 2’…man I never know.”

“Once upon a time in another life, and perhaps in another era of film history, there was this Republican senatorial candidate hanging out in a hotel in Manhattan, and in that other life, there was also a maid in that hotel,” Fiennes recalled in his speech regarding the film’s romantic content.

He also clearly portrayed the similarities between Lopez and her character: “This maid was hiding something in her demure and attentive manner. She was sweet and charming, but in reality she was hiding something. She was hiding some kind of superpower. Behind the mask of this maid was a force of creativity, a force of action, something so powerful that it was simply unstoppable. This maid had extraordinary wings that unfolded and she flew away.” In this life, she has flown with determination from a young age, “because I believe she knows that she has something within her that she must honor as she flies high. She honors and fulfills and shares her extraordinary creative spirit, “by shining a light on the lives of so many people, inspiring them and brightening their days.”
