In the final of the prestigious World Cup tournament last Friday evening, the teenager from Warrington defeated three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen (35) 7-3 and became the youngest player of all time to secure the World Cup title. The darts prodigy appears blissfully holding his trophy in a special snapshot.
In the photo he can be seen in bed with the trophy in his arms. “Home sweet home,” he wrote alongside the image, which was reminiscent of another trophy snapshot. Argentina’s football icon Lionel Messi (37) also appeared in bed with the trophy after winning the 2022 World Cup.
Celebrity Darts World Cup 2025 without Littler
After his triumph at London’s Ally Pally, Littler will now take a short break. The player, who turns 18 on January 21, announced his break from darts on BBC Breakfast. “I’ll be honest, the World Series of Darts starts in Bahrain in a few weeks and I won’t be training until I go to Bahrain.” The tournament will take place on January 16th and 17th, 2025.
