Alessia Herren: Jungle camper surprises with career choice

As the daughter of the entertainer Willi Herren (1975-2021), this year’s jungle camp candidate Alessia Herren (22) was almost born into the spotlight. But TV fame wants a future far away from reality TV. “My wish is – as soon as my daughter goes to kindergarten – that I will definitely do an apprenticeship,” Herren revealed proudly. She also already knows where she wants to do this: in retail. “That might sound funny now, but at Aldi, because Aldi is a really good employer,” says Herren.

In recent years, Herren has appeared in the formats “Celebrity Big Brother” (since 2013, on Sat. 1), “kampf der Realitystars” (since 2020, on RTL Zwei) and “Das Sommerhaus der Stars” (since 2016, on RTL). Aside from reality TV, the 22-year-old especially enjoys her family life with her husband Can Patrick Nitkewitz (29) and daughter Anisa-Amalia (1). “Well, I would say that I’m a real wifey because I just want to live the typical housewife life!” Herren also emphasized in the interview.

In a few weeks, Herren will have to say goodbye to his little family: together with other German celebrities such as Sam Dylan (33) and Nina Bott (47), the TV celebrity is part of this year’s season of “I’m a Star – Get Me Here out” (since 2004, on RTL).

“I’m following in my father’s footsteps. I’m very proud of that!” emphasized Herren in a short interview with RTL before her TV adventure. “It’s a very nice feeling to know that my father was in the jungle 20 years ago, exactly where I am now.” Willi Herren took part in the second season in 2004. At that time he took third place.
