Daniel Radcliffe has further expanded his “Harry Potter” fortune through clever investments. His parents still manage his money to this day.
Former “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe (35) has increased his fortune significantly through smart investments since the end of the film series. As the latest annual reports show, the 35-year-old now has assets of 96.3 million pounds, the equivalent of around 116 million euros. And that despite the fact that he hasn’t appeared in front of the camera as a sorcerer’s apprentice for 14 years.
According to the report, his parents Marcia Gresham and Alan Radcliffe laid the foundation for his financial success in 2001. With his very first “Harry Potter” fee of an impressive £800,000, they founded the company Gilmore Jacobs, which still manages Radcliffe’s assets today and whose managing directors they continue to be. A decision that obviously turned out to be the right one.
From film star to financial expert
During his time as “Harry Potter”, Radcliffe earned a total of around 75 million pounds, or around 90 million euros. Through clever investments, he and his parents have been able to increase this sum by almost 30 percent in recent years. The company is now reportedly generating around half a million pounds in monthly revenue.
Things are also going well for the actor professionally. After various film projects such as “The Woman in Black” and “Kill Your Darlings”, he won his first Tony Award in 2024 for his role in the Broadway musical “Merrily We Roll Along”. He also received an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Private happiness
Things could hardly be better for Radcliffe in his personal life. In April 2023, he and his partner Erin Darke (40) became parents of a son for the first time. The couple, who met while filming in 2013, keep their private life largely out of the public eye and have not yet revealed the name of their child. Radcliffe will appear in the sequel to the hit film “The Incredibles” later this year.
For comparison: “Harry Potter” creator JK Rowling (59) is a lot richer than the star of her film adaptations. In the years 2004 to 2007, Forbes magazine estimated her fortune at around one billion US dollars, or around 800 million pounds. Even though her wealth is said to have declined somewhat in recent years, experts currently suspect that her belongings still amount to around 900 million US dollars.
