Thousands of people are fleeing the devastating fires near Los Angeles. Paris Hilton also fled with her family – and then saw her destroyed house again on television.
According to her own statements, reality star Paris Hilton had to watch on television as her house fell victim to the devastating fires near Los Angeles. “My heart is heartbroken,” the 43-year-old wrote on the X platform. “I’m sitting with my family, watching the news and seeing our house in Malibu burning to the ground live on television.” She also shared a hand-shot video from a news story showing a neighborhood burned to the ground.
“We created so many precious memories in this house,” said the businesswoman, activist and singer. “It is the place where Phoenix took its first steps and where we dreamed of creating a lifetime of memories with London,” Hilton wrote, referring to her two children. Her heart aches for those who are still in danger or are suffering greater losses. The former It girl thanked the emergency services “from the bottom of her heart” and called on her fans to take care of themselves.
Several devastating major fires have hit Los Angeles since Tuesday, leaving a trail of destruction behind. According to media reports, around 130,000 people have fled and more than 1,000 buildings have been destroyed. In addition to Hilton, other celebrities had to flee the fires.
“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill told his Instagram followers that he left his Malibu home “at the last minute.” Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis mourned the loss of her home in Pacific Palisades. According to several Instagram posts, actress Mandy Moore stayed with friends with her family and pets. She captioned a video of a car ride under smoke-darkened skies and past burning and burned buildings: “I’m completely numb.”
