Andrea Kaiser has suffered a great loss. She is mourning the loss of her father, as she revealed on social media.
TV star Andrea Kaiser has lost her father. The presenter made this public after reporting on the Bundesliga game Borussia Dortmund against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday evening. in a post: “Today was perhaps the hardest game of my life, some people saw it in my eyes too.”
Andrea Kaiser: “The man who always protected me”
She added: “Yesterday I had to say goodbye forever to my beloved dad. To the man who always protected me, gave me so much love throughout his life, who always wanted to make me laugh and who was always laughing cried tears.”
In the post, Andrea Kaiser also explained why she was in front of the camera on Friday so soon after her loss: “My dad would prefer to see me in a place where I’m happy (even if only for this moment) with a team and colleagues who are like a family than alone with many tears.” On the sidelines, she was “briefly the grown woman again”… “Now in the silence,” she was “simply the little girl who misses her beloved daddy infinitely!”
Love from parents “was always my role model”
Her parents were together for 61 years, Kaiser continued in her article. “Such love has always been my role model.” She is grateful “that my mom and I were able to say goodbye to dad and that I was able to tell him everything I write here and much more in person!”
The sports presenter previously revealed that her father suffered a heart attack at the age of 54 and then a stroke at 64. “After that he wasn’t the same anymore,” she explained in the interview at the time. He was later diagnosed with dementia.
