There are shocking images from Los Angeles that are currently going around the world. The flames rage and destroy many lives. In addition to many helpers, many celebrities also lend a hand.
Los Angeles can use every helping hand right now. The fire currently raging there has robbed many people of everything. The houses are in rubble and ashes, injured animals are roaming around and some people, like one, even lost their lives in the flames.
Nevertheless, Garner pitches in and prepares food for the victims of the fire. In an interview with “MSNBC,” the actress appears very agitated and tries to keep her composure.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan also jumped into the car to help in Montecito. Like Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, they are not afraid to get their hands dirty and would like to offer their help on site. Footage from the US broadcaster “Fox 11” shows the two royals at a conference site in Pasadena near Los Angeles. There they spoke to people who had to flee their homes from the flames and exchanged ideas with helpers. It was repeatedly seen how they hugged individual victims in a consoling manner.
Dressed in everyday clothing, with caps and masks, the couple distributed food as inconspicuously as possible. Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo praised the efforts of the two royals in an interview with the station. “They didn’t come seeking attention, but to help,” Gordo explained. This is their second visit to the region, having previously spoken directly with victims in the areas affected by the fires.

The Sussexes also called for further help for the victims on their homepage: “Please also consider donating clothing, toys, children’s clothes and other basic things.” They are said to have done that themselves.
In addition to the ex-royals, other celebrities helped in Los Angeles:
Jamie Lee Curtiswho lives in Pacific Palisades, announced on Instagram that she would donate $1 million to the victims of the fire. “My husband, our children and I have pledged $1 million through our family foundation to start a relief fund for our great city and the people affected,” she wrote. She also showed photos of her smoking neighborhood and called for help: “Our beloved neighborhood is destroyed. So many have lost everything. Help where you can.”
Steve Guttenbergknown from the film “Three Men, Another Baby,” was seen pushing aside abandoned cars on Palisades Drive. He wanted to clear the way for people who were stuck in the hills, according to Business Insider magazine.
James Woods described the dramatic evacuation of his home on CNN. He helped his 94-year-old neighbor with dementia, whose house collapsed shortly afterwards. “There was chaos, like an inferno. Houses were burning all around us,” he reported. Woods appealed to those fleeing to leave their car keys in the car so that helpers can move vehicles: “This is not a parking lot – the fire department needs space.”
Sharon Stone used her Instagram reach to promote +COOP, a pop-up support center for the fire victims. Many celebrities supported the initiative.
Lisa Rinna dropped off some clothes and wrote, “Thanks for organizing this.”
Halle Berry announced that she would donate her entire closet, and Michelle Pfeiffer shared similar plans.
Angelina Jolie and her 16-year-old son Knox were spotted shopping last Friday, loading up on water and other essentials. “We’re hosting people at our house,” she said in a video obtained by the British news site Daily Mail as she loaded the trunk of her car. When asked if she plans to donate to the relief effort, she replied: “Yes, I will, but for now I’m taking care of people close to me and taking them in.”
According to CBS News, more than 200,000 people were ordered to leave their homes and another 166,000 people received evacuation warnings. According to a report in the Los Angeles Times on Friday, January 10, 10 people have died, 9,000 buildings have been damaged and 150,000 people are under mandatory evacuation orders. Jolie’s $25 million home in Los Feliz is outside the evacuation zones.
