Sandy Mölling has lived with her family in Los Angeles for years. But her home is apparently not insured – and the flames of the forest fires are getting closer and closer.
Sandy Mölling sits on packed suitcases. Last night she was woken up by an evacuation warning and could barely sleep. The “No Angels” singer lives only a few kilometers away from burning houses.
Her son actually wanted to visit a friend in the Studio City, Valley Village district on Friday. This is on the other side of the mountain as seen from Sandy Mölling’s home. But on the way back, the parents noticed that the fire was slowly working its way over the mountain and houses were on fire – a decision had to be made. Her husband immediately picked up their son so that they would not be separated from their child by the fire.

Mölling’s family’s home is only about 15 kilometers from the fire. She thinks out loud in her Instagram story: “Whether we wouldn’t rather leave now than when everyone evacuates at once?”
Sandy Mölling could lose everything and fears for her existence
As the “Bild” newspaper reports, Sandy Mölling not only has a “stone in her stomach” because she was briefly separated from her son in the disaster area, but also because her house is not insured. Since 2019, the “No Angels” singer has lived in Los Angeles with her husband Nasri Atweh and their two sons Jayden, 15, and Noah, nine.
Why is your property not insured? Mölling explains: “The insurance companies here no longer insure you. That means if it burns down, that’s it. Then of course we own the property, but have to rebuild the house.”
Hopefully the “No Angel” has a guardian angel. Her husband, a Canadian musician and music producer, and her sons have all already packed their bags in case of an emergency: “My children are staying with me now, we are sitting on packed suitcases. And it’s my husband’s birthday today too. What a day!” said Sandy Mölling, who ended up looking incredibly tired and worn out in her Instagram story.
