Beyoncé donates millions to Los Angeles fire victims

Thousands of people have lost their homes due to the devastating fires in and around Los Angeles. The singer’s foundation wants to help.
US superstar Beyoncé (43) wants to donate 2.5 million dollars (around 2.4 million euros) to those affected by the fires in the Los Angeles area through her “Beygood” foundation. “Los Angeles, we stand with you,” the foundation said in a post on Instagram.
The money was intended to support families in the Altadena and Pasadena area north of Los Angeles who had lost their homes. Churches and community centers that support those affected in the region should also receive donations.
According to current information, the fires have destroyed or damaged more than 12,000 buildings. At least 24 people were killed and others are still missing.
