Rod Stewart has long been deeply attached to King Charles. Now he has been appointed ambassador for his charity.
The British cult musician just turned 80 years old. Now Rod Stewart also has a new job: he will officially support King Charles III’s foundation. (76).
Like them, Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster, 53, were announced as ambassadors during the charity’s 35th anniversary celebrations at Dumfries House.
With his voluntary work for the foundation, the rock musician will, among other things, support crafts, sustainability and agriculture in the future. Following the announcement, Rod Stewart said: “We are delighted to come on board as ambassadors for The King’s Foundation and look forward to supporting this worthwhile cause, particularly during such an important year for the charity.”
Penny Lancaster added: “As a volunteer special representative, I am particularly passionate about the Foundation’s approach to community building – and how access to green spaces can help create better, healthier places. It is an honor to work with the Foundation, and I can’t wait to meet more of the inspiring people who both learn with and work for the organization.”
According to the release, her duties also include meeting with Health and Wellbeing Center staff to learn more about the range of perimenopause programs and support groups.

The British monarch did not officially speak out, but Kristina Murrin CBE, Managing Director of the King’s Foundation: “Sir Rod and Lady Penny have long been friends and supporters of the King’s Foundation (…). We are very pleased that they officially join our mission to build sustainable communities and transform lives around the world.”
In 2007, the musician was knighted “Sir Roderick” and raised to the nobility in gratitude for his decades of service.
