Sophia Havertz has been exposed to horrific messages on social networks. The police now want to identify the perpetrators.
After the disgusting online hate messages that Kai Havertz’s (25) wife Sophia Havertz was recently exposed to, the British police have started an investigation into the matter. As reported, among other things, citing the PA news agency, Havertz’s team, Arsenal FC, has instructed a data technology company to determine the identity of the perpetrators. A Hertfordshire Police spokesman said: “Officers received a report of malicious communications towards a Hertfordshire resident on Sunday, January 12. Investigations are ongoing.”
Sophia Havertz was asked to have a miscarriage
Last Sunday (January 12th), Havertz was the only shooter from both teams to miss in the penalty shootout in his club’s FA Cup game against Manchester United. Arsenal were eliminated as a result. His wife Sophia, whom the national player married in July last year, then shared the shocking news she had received in an Instagram story. The pregnant woman was wished by an unknown party to have a miscarriage and threatened to murder her baby.
“The fact that someone thinks it’s okay to write something like that is so shocking to me…”, . “I hope you’re so ashamed of yourself.”
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta (42) said on Wednesday evening (January 15) after his team’s 2-1 win against Tottenham in the Premier League: “It’s unbelievable, to be honest. We really have to do something about it. Because if we’re like that “If I just accept something and sweep it under the table, I think that will have dire consequences.” Arteta also recalled that Havertz only scored the 1-0 winning goal for his team at the end of December and was then celebrated by the fans. “Where is the perspective?” asked the coach rhetorically.
