The International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo is pleased with a high number of visitors: Prince Albert attended the event with the twins.
Princess Stéphanie (59) received prominent support at the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival on Sunday. The president of the festival welcomed her brother, Prince Albert II (66), who appeared with his twins, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella (10), and their cousin Bodie Wittstock. Stéphanie’s daughter Camille Gottlieb (26) can also be seen in the pictures from the event.
The Monte-Carlo Circus Festival was founded in 1974 by Albert’s father, Prince Rainier III. of Monaco (1923-2005), founded. Since then it has been under the patronage of the royal family. Princess Stéphanie has been president of the festival since 2006. This year marks the 47th edition of the event.
Jacques and Gabriella delight the fans
Jacques and Gabriella, who turned ten in December, appear again and again with their parents, Prince Albert and Charlène of Monaco (46), to the delight of the fans of the royal family.
Albert II married the former South African professional swimmer Charlene Wittstock on July 1, 2011, whom he had met eleven years earlier at a swimming competition. Three years after their wedding, the two welcomed their twins on December 10, 2014. Gabriella Thérèse Marie Grimaldi was born at 5:04 p.m., followed two minutes later by Jacques Honoré Rainier Grimaldi. Due to the male line of succession in Monaco, Jacques is his father’s successor.
In an interview with the French magazine “Gala” at the beginning of November, Princess Charlène gave a rare insight behind the scenes of the family. The children have very different personalities, she said. “Gabriella is very curious and asks a lot of questions, while Jacques is more quiet and observant.” Despite the differences, or perhaps because of them, the twins seem to get along very well. During performances you can always see how they support each other, hug each other or even hold each other’s hands.
