Dancing star Isabel Edvardsson has always been a part of “Let’s Dance”. However, she will not be part of the cast in the new episodes.
Professional dancer Isabel Edvardsson (42) was already seen in the first season of “Let’s Dance”. Since then, with a few exceptions, she has been there almost every time. When the 18th season of the popular RTL show starts soon, Edvardsson will take a break. for that.
“Let’s Dance” is her passion, but…
Edvardsson makes it clear in the first line of her post: “‘Let’s Dance’… I’m taking a break.” She also explains without further ado the reason for this decision: the family. “There are milestones in life that are huge,” writes the dancer. Her and her husband’s third son, Marcus Weiß (50), was not “on the plan”. It’s more of a “What if it worked again?” been, she explains. “And then you came, you sweet little angel!”
Although the show is “a project close to my heart and my passion,” she is “taking a break this season as a professional dancer in the cast.” Because: “It’s the last time in my life that I have a little baby… These precious moments, like taking the first little steps very soon, will never come back. As small and sweet as he is right now, mine My heart melts. The thought of not being able to experience these moments 100% made me do it, especially because the bonding time is so important at the moment.” Although her husband “always rocks everything,” it’s not easy with three small children. The couple have no nannies and no grandparents on site.
Edvardsson could take a break from dancing, “but it’s not feasible to stop time when he’s still so small.” Of course she wants to dance again in the future. And “Let’s Dance” fans probably won’t have to do without the 42-year-old completely. “Of course I will be traveling to Cologne more often this season, whether for filming or meeting with colleagues and friends,” she announces.
In April 2024, the Swedish native announced that she had become a mother for the third time. Isabel Edvardsson has been married to her husband Marcus Weiß, who is also a professional dancer, since 2015. The couple’s first son was born in September 2017. She announced the birth of her second son in April 2021.
