Katerina Jacob celebrated great success with “The Bull of Tölz”. Today she no longer has any contact with her co-star Ottfried Fischer.
With the TV series “The Bull of Tölz” (1996-2009), Katerina Jacob (66) and Ottfried Fischer (71) attracted millions of viewers to their screens from the mid-1990s. Despite their shared success, the two actors are no longer in touch today. “You can work together very well without being friends, like Simon & Garfunkel,” explains the actress, who can be seen on Friday (January 24th) in “Anna and her lodger: Suddenly mother-in-law” on the first (8:15 p.m.). is, in an interview with spot on news.
She hadn’t seen the cult series herself “for ages” until it was repeated recently. “My husband and I watched four episodes in a row and I realized that the series was really good. Looking back, I have to say: We did a great job back then that you can still watch today.”
That’s what “The Bull of Tölz” is about
In the Sat.1 series “The Bull of Tölz” from 1996, Benno Berghammer (Ottfried Fischer) solved his cases in the Bavarian idyll of Bad Tölz. Benno lived with his mother Theresia “Resi” Berghammer (Ruth Drexel, 1930-2009) in her pension. The mother-son duo’s discussions quickly became a trademark of the series.
From episode one onwards, Benno Berghammer was also supported by Chief Inspector Sabrina Lorenz (Katerina Jacob), who comes from Berlin and had difficulties with the Bavarian dialect. Resi Berghammer always saw her as a suitable daughter-in-law.
Katerina Jacob played her character until 2006, making her last appearance in episode 58. Benno Berghammer then got a new colleague in Nadine Richter, played by Katharina Abt (57). The series ultimately ended with season 14 after Ruth Drexel passed away at the age of 78. In February 2009, the last episode of “The Bull of Tölz” flickered across TV screens.
