Prime Minister Markus Söder fell on his knees at the Bavarian Film Award in front of Uschi Glas – much to her surprise.
Uschi Glas (80) had a special weekend: Last Friday she was awarded the Honorary Award at the Bavarian Film Award, and the following day she shone cheerfully as soon as the red carpet.
The award ceremony also had a special moment for the actress: Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder (58) went on her hand when the honorary award was handed over in front of her and kissed her hand. “So I would never have expected that, for God’s sake. You think, what’s going on now?” She ordered the situation on the sidelines of the film ball in an interview with the news agency Spot on News.
Kniefall is “special veneration” for Uschi Glas
She knew that the politician is generally a big fan from the film industry, Glas continued. “He loves acting and actors and films, and then it might be meant as a special veneration. I didn’t know what to do at that moment, but it was definitely very, very nice,” emphasized The 80-year-old, who made the dance floor unsafe in a silver glitter.
Markus Söder justified his decision for the native Lower Bavarian Uschi Glas as the winner of the honorary award of the Prime Minister with her embodiment of the “Bavarian way of life”. “I believe that he means my down -to -earthness, i.e. that I am not withdrawn, but that I always stayed on the floor and control myself very strongly,” the award winner interpreted this statement. In the film industry it is easy to “start spiders because the seduction is great if you have great success in particular”. She managed to stay with her and not to take the veneration too personally. “I really want to stay human,” she clarified.
Uschi Glas has been in front of the film cameras since the 1960s. She celebrated her breakthrough in 1968 with the film “To the point”. In the 2010s, she attracted attention to the role of the role of suicidal teacher in the celebrated “Fack Ju Göhte” series.
