The automotive sector in Argentina closed 2024 with a significant rebound in the second semester, promoted by the arrival of models of cars imported and government policies that facilitated their income.
Among the most prominent novelties were two brands that marked presence in the country, not only for the price of the specimens exhibited but also by their dynamic behavior.
Models of imported cars competitive
Hyundai HB20: entered the ranking of the ten cheapest models in the country after its success in Brazil.
Chevrolet Onix: With a 3% reduction in January, it also entered the list of best selling.
During the end of the year there was an increase in the number of vehicles sold, since in December 2024 there were 21,602 patented cars, 16.3% more than in December 2023 and marking the best closure of the year in six years.
Meanwhile, 2024 ended with 414,041 units sold, 7.9% less than in 2023, but with a second semester that generated optimism for 2025.
In turn, among the best -selling cars the Peugeot 208, which was chosen as the best for the yearwith 29,681 units and 7.6% market share.

Renault Kwid: $ 17,900,000 (did not show changes compared to December).
Fiat Mobi: $ 19,181,000 (+2.2%).
Toyota Yaris: $ 21,660,000 (+2.7%).
Hyundai HB20: $ 21,900,000 (+2.1%).
Fiat Cronos: $ 22,478,000 (+3%).
Citroën C3: $ 22,790,000 (+2.2%).
Peugeot 208: $ 23,280,000 (+2.9%).
Renault Logan: $ 23,730,000 (-2.7%).
Renault Sandero: $ 24,040,000 (-2.7%).
Chevrolet Onix: $ 24,762,900 (-3%).
Other prominent models:
- Renault Kwid E-Tech, Nissan Versa, and Fiat Strada, with prices between $ 25 and $ 27 million.
- Models such as Chevrolet Spin, Citroën C3 Aircross and Nissan Kicks exceed $ 27 million, while the Volkswagen Polo Track is $ 28,081,200.
Projections for 2025: The sector expects growth with 500,000 patented units, backed by new competitive models and updated prices.
