In Washington, DC there was a devastating aircraft accident. Two ex-ice skating stars are said to have been on board.

A passenger machine has collided with a helicopter from the military over the US capital Washington, DC. Both the helicopter and the aircraft then fell into the Potomac River. There were 64 people on board the passenger plane, according to official information, in which helicopters three people. According to media reports, two former figure skating world champions are said to have been among the passengers.

As Russian media say, Wadim Naumow and Jewgenija Schischkowa were on board. The 55-year-old and his 52-year-old spouse won gold in 1994 at the World Championships.
