With the “NOTOKAY” campaign, more than 50 celebrities from the cultural area want to sensitize the voters not to choose the AfD.
Prominent cultural workers started a campaign against the AfD. Under the motto “NOKOKAY” a video clip was uploaded on February 1st, in which the actresses and actors Anneke Kim Sarnau (52), Marie-Lou Seller (58), Margarita Broich (64), Laura Tonke (50) ), Merlin (born 1990) and Fridolin (born 1987) Sandmeyer and Lilli Hollunder (38) and husband René Adler (40) explain what is behind the campaign.
Appeal artists to position themselves clearly
The AfD is a “real threat to our democratic coexistence” it says. The consideration of banning the party is supported. However, there would be no more time. As is well known, the next federal election will take place on February 23. With their campaign, the musicians and actors want to call his voice to give the alternative for Germany: “We believe that it is important to position yourself clearly and show attitude! It is #nichtokay to choose the AfD!”.
Each individual can change something
On the Instagram page, the artists ask: “What can you do if a party like the AfD is getting more and more popular? It often feels as if the influence of us is limited as if we couldn’t change anything. that’s not true!” Voters should give their voice in the election of a democratic party and support values such as diversity, solidarity and freedom. However, the AfD destroy these values. “People who choose the AfD consciously choose a party that promotes hatred and exclusion. They support a policy that attacks people because of their origin, religion or sexuality.”
