Princess Kate accompanied elementary school students on a special excursion to the National Portrait Gallery – including a bus trip.
Princess Kate (43) once again demonstrated her special hand in dealing with children. When visiting the National Portrait Gallery in London, the 43-year-old did not miss the opportunity to take the bus together with a group of preschool children from the All Souls CE Primary School. The five -year -old Grace in particular seemed to have done Kate.
The little student was allowed to sit next to Princess Kate while driving and talked to the high visitor. “She chatted all the trip with her” ,. Grace was not aware that her neighbor was the future queen. “We only told her that she was a princess. She simply called her Catherine,” continued the rector.
A royal companion with heart
The wife of heir to the throne Prince William (42) showed itself from her most natural side during the trip. In a brown blazer over a black turtleneck sweater and a pinstripe pants from Jigsaw, she was elegant, but still dressed. She set subtle accents with Golden Sézane-Bruna-earrings and a salamander-lean-rifle from Halcyon Day. On the bus, she even helped the children to put on and undress their jackets.
“The children, they are four or five years old, they are completely unsuspecting what is happening there,” the headmistress described the relaxed atmosphere. “They only thought ‘we have a chic bus with beautiful lights and air conditioning’ and Catherine was wonderful, really talkative with the children.”
Important mission for the little ones
The trip to the National Portrait Gallery had a significant background: Princess Kate started an “interactive tour” to support the social and emotional development of children under the age of five. Part of the project is the “Bibeam Tree Trail”, in which the children use portraits to carry out various activities that are supposed to promote their social and emotional skills.
The focus is on a magical tree. The peculiarity of this rare plant with its beautiful, colorful leaves: it thrives particularly well when it is surrounded by stories. “The children absolutely loved it. It was so magical,” enthused headmistress Ascough. “And when they came in and saw the tree and the magic of the day … I don’t think we will ever experience such a school trip again!”
The “Bibeam Tree Trail” is offered free of charge from February 4 to March 16 and is also to be implemented in other galleries and museums in Great Britain. With this initiative, Princess Kate once again underlines her long -term commitment to early childhood development. In the foreword of the initiative, the princess herself wrote that the goal was to “create a physically and mentally healthier society”. To do this, you have to “take a deep look at ourselves and our own behavior, our emotions and feelings.”
Behut returned to the spotlight
The visit is a gradual return to the public after her cancer treatment last year. However, sources from the palace emphasize that it is a “gradual, gradual return to work”. “In some weeks you will see them more often, less in others,” said an insider.
This careful approach is also reflected in Kate’s schedule: the gallery visit will be your only public appearance this week. The palace expert emphasized that the princess will be kept a similar pace in the coming months, with her recovery and her family being an absolute priority.
