After a 2024 marked by stillness and contemplation, the Argentine executive market began the year with a high level in “C-Level” positions and in search processes. Greater economic stability, professionals who stop looking abroad to project their careers in the country and a high demand for talent Tech. These are the trends that shape the main expectations of the Executive Market in this 2025according to a recent report.
The data arises from the survey prepared by GLUE Executive Search, Headhunting Boutique Consultant, which recorded a 20% increase in the number of active executive searches so far from 2025, compared to the same period last year.
Economic stability invites executives to stay in the country
Although the “headhunters” say that the country’s context continues to present challenges, economic stability reactivated the market, giving more possibilities to both companies and executive professionals to plan long -term plan in Argentina. Data from the consulting firm Mercer assure that the median salary increases was 139%, compared to a 123%consumer price index. This allows Argentina to be competitive again in front of other countries in the region when hiring top -level professionals who are part of the talent pool.
“What happened in recent years is that, in the face of an uncertain economic and political context, many Argentine professionals prioritized working in or for other markets. Either to establish themselves in another country and improve your quality of life or to access a remuneration in dollars living in a country with a marked exchange gap, ”says Daniel Iriarte, associate director of Gue Executive Search.
Daniel exemplifies this trend by citing numerous cases of Argentine executives who prioritized accepting job offers in Uruguay. A smaller market than the Argentine but that was enhanced by becoming a technological innovation hub (with renowned techno companies such as Dlocal, orders already and Nearsure) and greater economic and political stability.

In parallel, many multinational companies decided to move their operations center in the region to this country, thanks to the tax facilities offered compared to Argentina or other markets. On the other hand, despite the high cost of living, several Argentine executives prioritized the quality of life offered by the Charrúa country.
On the other hand, in the early post pandemic the hybrid and remote work modalities were normalized. What was previously common in the Tech and Freelance niche extended to impact Argentine executive professionals, who were contacted by companies located in markets with stronger coins, such as the United States or Europe.
“During 2020 and 2023 it could happen that a median company of mass consumption located in Texas sought an Argentine executive to work remote or hybrid, generating a Win-Win situation for both parties. The Executive achieved a remuneration in dollars while still living in a country with a marked exchange gap and that in dollars was cheap. On the organization’s side, they added their team to a professional highly qualified by a lower cost, ”explains Ezequiel Palacios, associate director of the Executive Search.
What changed? . The exchange gap was significantly reduced and the dollar, against the initial forecasts of 2023, ironed. This generated new opportunities for the companies established in Argentina, since the commercial offers made to executives were competitive again. In turn, for the professional C-Level, he was more tempting and comfortable to work in a dependency relationship and have a remuneration package that included his salary deposited in his bank of preference, in addition to social work and other benefits, such as Company Caro , Bonds and Long Term incentives.
“Obviously it is still tempting to win in a currency stronger than the Argentine weight. But sometimes the modality of working for another country living in Argentina can be somewhat cumbersome. Faced with a better context, the Executive may be more comfortable to work in a company established in the country, ”concludes Palacios.
Reactivation and greater executive searches movement
The 2025 began with more appointments and executive searches of the imagined. According to specialists, this does not mean that there were only professionals among companies, but also resumed labor searches that organizations had decided to freeze at the end of 2022, in the face of a change of government and a context of greater uncertainty.
From Gue Executive Search they say that at the end of 2023 the first consultations arrived and some search processes began. But what began as an isolated event became a clear trend, with a strong increase in active consultations and processes. In fact, in 80% of cases, current searches are of positions that were uncovered.
“Before greater macro stability and lower inflation, companies can effectively plan. The panorama is clearly positive: for what we see and what we hear, this is going to be a good year for the sector,” says Ezequiel Palacios.
