After an emergency surgery, Michael Bolton has to recover. The musician canceled a concert in London planned for July.
A little more than a year ago, Michael Bolton (71) made it public that he had to undergo emergency surgery due to a brain tumor. The operation was successful at the time, but the American musician has to continue to recover. For this reason, Bolton has announced in a story that a concert that was originally planned for July will not take place.
The appearance, which was to take place on July 5 in the London O2 Arena, has been canceled. “You all know how much I was looking forward to this show, but I still relax from the operation,” writes the singer. Bolton, who celebrates his 72nd birthday at the end of February, also thanks the support of his many fans around the world, “for all your love and positive energy last year”.
Bolton made the operation public in January 2024
In January 2024, Bolton reported on his diagnosis and operation in January 2024. In 2023, “unexpected challenges” ended for him: “Shortly before the holidays, it was found that I had a brain tumor that had to be operated on immediately. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the operation was a success.”
The Grammy winner, including “How on I Supposed to Live Without You”, is now recovering from it at home and is “surrounded by the enormous love and support” of his family. In the coming months, Bolton wanted to concentrate on his recovery, he said at the time. Therefore, he puts on a “temporary break” of tour life. Soon he wanted to be on stage again, it said. The return will probably take some time.
