The first successful game in the yellow-purple jersey and a spectacular reception: the debut of basketball star Luka Dončić (25) for the Los Angeles Lakers did not want to miss any-and so various prominent faces were found in the audience. There the newcomer of the Lakers was celebrated with a special gesture: at the premiere, every spectator found a yellow Dončić jersey in his place.

Basketball superstar Luka Dončić was completely surprisingly transferred from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers in early February. Unlike football, for example, the NBA players have no say in terms of the “trades” between the teams. The upcoming change of the Slovenen made many Maverick fans disappointed – Dončić himself also expressed himself depressed in a press conference: “It was hard moments for me.” Dallas was his home. In his debut in Los Angeles, however, he was looking forward to support from his old home. Dirk Nowitzki, who played for Dallas from 1998 to 2019 and is now a special consultant, flew extra to look at the game of the former Maverick star.
“I will be a MAV all my life, but I had to support my young Luka Dončić in the first game of his new chapter,” he posted before the Lakers game started. “That means a lot to me. He is a friend, a mentor,” said 25-year-old Slovenian, according to media reports, happy about these supportive words.

Luka Dončić can also count on his fiance Anamaria Goltes (27), with whom he has the daughter Gabriella. The young mother posted recordings from the Arena of Monday, which she showed with a child on her arm from behind in a Lakers jersey with number 77. Commented them with the words “new chapter”.
