The Oscar winner can be seen in a film that addresses illegal migration to the USA. As for her home country, she makes a combative announcement.
Hollywood star Jessica Chastain has been combative in relation to the political future of the United States. “I won’t give up my country,” said the American. “Many of us are still very hopeful – and we are fighting for a good thing,” she said.
The 47-year-old can be seen at the Berlinale in the Michel Franco competition film “Dreams”, a love drama that also revolves around the topic of illegal migration to the USA.
“There are many places where it is incredibly difficult to live and there are a lot of unrest,” said Chastain. “But if you are unable to have a spark of hope or the feeling that it could be different, what does it work to continue?”
The Oscar winner added: “I am at home in the USA because I am a hopeful person, and I believe that you have to make a contribution to create the environment, the culture and society you want. “
