At a celebration on the edge of the Berlinale, celebrities set an example against the right. Among them is also actress Heike Makatsch. With a view to the Bundestag election, she has a great wish.
Celebrities like the actress Heike Makatsch have positioned themselves against the right on the edge of a Berlinale celebration. “You can only hope that people wake up, that they do not choose the right, that they really look at the election programs again,” emphasized Heike Makatsch (53) at the Berlin-Brandenburg party. “I’m just keeping my fingers crossed for everyone that the wind is still turning.”
In a protest campaign by the aid organization SOS Humanity, many celebrities also spoke out for “more humanity on the Mediterranean”, Makatsch explained the protest. “We appeal to the fact that people in need, on the run, who are looking for asylum, have to be accepted by us first,” she emphasized.
Many prominent personalities merged with signs and scarves in hand in the protest on Saturday evening – including Merlin Sandmeyer and Marc Hosemann (“Die Discounter”), Anna Thalbach and Rosalie Thomass. The campaign was musically underlined by singer Marlo Grosshardt, who sang about his fear of right -wing politics in the song “Grandma”.
Already at the opening of the Berlinale on Thursday, the actresses Meret Becker and Anna Thalbach held a scarf with the inscription “Humanity for All”.
