Queen Camilla focused on the “wonderful work” of the National Theater on Tuesday. She also greeted top stars for reception.
Queen Camilla (77) was in a good mood at a reception of the National Theater in the Buckingham Palace in London. The actors presented her one of her favorite pieces – and stars such as James Corden (46), Andrew Garfield (41) and Cate Blanchett (55) chatted with the wife of King Charles III. (76).
James Corden is not afraid
The encounter between Camilla and the former “The Late Late Show” host Corden was particularly warm. You could see the two jokes exchanged and laugh warmly, as a clip published on Wednesday shows on the official Instagram account of the palace. In it, Corden breaks out in loud laughter and touches the queen on her arm.
The moderator obviously has no fear of contact, and he had often had to do with the Royal Family. In 2015 he received the Order of the British Empire award from Princess Anne (74). In 2018 he was a guest at the wedding of Prince Harry (40) and Duchess Meghan (43). Corden also greeted the prince on his show. The moderator drove him through Los Angeles in the sightseeing bus and rapped with him to the melody “The Prince of Bel-Air”-with which he paved Harry the way to the US show business.
“That was a very nice occasion”
The queen has been a patron of the National Theater since 2022. Duchess Meghan (43) and Before Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) had previously held the role. When she left the event, Camilla visibly said goodbye to the guests with the words: “It was a very nice occasion.”
