Black-Sabbath star Ozzy Osbourne could have been a famous film pirate if his wife hadn’t spoken a word of power.
As a rock musician and reality star, Ozzy Osbourne (76) has achieved everything you can achieve in his life. As his wife and long -time manager Sharon Osbourne (72) now revealed in an interview, he could also have become a pirate if she had not vehemently advised him against it.
“Wouldn’t he have been perfect for this?”
In an interview with the Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan (57), she explained what she thinks she was the biggest mistake that she had made as a manager of the quirky rock icon. It is a story that she has never told anyone out of shame. “He got the offer to read for ‘curse of the Caribbean’,” said Sharon Osbourne, “and I said no”. She added wistfully: “But wouldn’t he have been perfect for that?”
Billy Corgan immediately agreed and replied: “He would have been perfect! Maybe it’s not too late yet.” Unfortunately, the moderator did not ask which part the “Curse of the Caribbean” series it was at the time and for what role her husband should audition in the canceled casting. Ozzy would certainly have fit in into the pirate comedies with Johnny Depp (61) in the leading role of the crazy Captain Jack Sparrow.
“Curse of the Caribbean” maintains Rockstar tradition
In the film series, he would not have been the only actor with a rock star background. For example, Keith Richards (81) from the Rolling Stones took over the role of the father of Captain Sparrow in two films and also Beatles legend Paul McCartney (82) appeared with a guest appearance as an uncle of the pirate captain.
