Angelina Jolie usually attracts her eyes with her looks. At the Oscars, however, she made a strange appearance with her dress in 2012.
The 2012 Oscar Awards will certainly be remembered by many – but not because of the films that were awarded at the time. What got stuck is above all the appearance of Angelina Jolie on the red carpet. The actress showed herself in a black velvet dress from Versace. The special thing about it: it had a slot that exposed her right leg almost to the bar. Jolie posed in the robe as if her leg herself was a trophy. Her pose, in which she put her hand in her hip, put her head back and a confident look, is legendary.
Her appearance not only brought the American nickname “The Leg”. He also caused a lot of mockery and some parodies. Because the exaggerated pose, which she showed again and again, looked and partly ridiculous, so the opinion of the tabloids and some social media users. It is said that shortly after the appearance, Jolie is said to have fired her stylist who had chosen the dress, so Sauer she was about the reactions.

Angelina Jolie actually wanted to wear another dress at the Oscars
The actress actually wanted to wear a completely different dress, as she later told in an interview with “Extra”. “There is a longer story behind it. I had a more complicated dress to choose from and ultimately decided on the more comfortable dress. And I just felt so comfortable,” she said.
Jolie provided ridicule, but also for many imitators. The high leg slit has been socially acceptable since their appearance and numerous celebrities also showed themselves with high -slotted clothes – but mostly on safety in less striking poses.
