It gets serious: Germany is making its contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The strong man in the preliminary decision swears the TV nation to a common mission.
Entertainer Stefan Raab committed the audience before the final of the German ESC preliminary decision with a speech on a common mission. “My name is Stefan Raab and this is an important evening for Germany,” the 58 -year -old headed the show “Chefsick ESC 2025 – who sings for Germany?” on Saturday evening (ARD).
The German contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel is chosen, said Raab. “You have the last word today,” said Raab with an almost presidential attitude. Therefore, he has a request: “Let us write a success story together again.”
Germany selects its contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in the night of Sunday. The preliminary decision will be significantly shaped by Raab this year – together with his team and a jury, he has made a pre -selection of artists. In the end, however, the audience alone should decide who represents Germany.
Raab has been a ESC specialist since the victory of Lena Meyer-Landrut, who had won under his aegis. After a long break, he was again involved in the selection process in 2025. Since Germany has often performed poorly at the ESC in recent years, Raab’s return have some hopes.
