Liam Payne’s family: speculation “we have stressed”

The British musician died in the fall of a hotel balcony last year. The indictment was dropped against three out of five suspects. Now Payne’s family is expressed.

The family of the died British One-Direction singer Liam Payne has emotionally spoken against three out of five suspects after the fallen indictment. “The constant attention of the media and the speculations that accompanied the process have inflicted indescribable, permanent damage to the family, especially Liam’s son, who tries to process feelings that should not experience a seven -year -old,” said Payne’s family to the PA news agency after the Brit Awards.

The show in the London O2-Arena on Saturday evening ended with a tribute to the deceased singer. Speculation about a reunion of Payne’s former band mate from One Direction did not confirm.

Payne fell last year on October 16 at the age of 31 from the balcony of a room on the third floor of a hotel in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. According to the public prosecutor, forensic doctors consider it likely that he passed out while trying to climb over the balcony railing. An autopsy has proven alcohol and cocaine in large quantities.

Two men still in custody

At the end of February, an indictment against a confidante of the pop star and two leading employees of a hotel had been dropped. The court ruled that they had no special responsibility for Payne and were therefore not to be subject to. Two other suspects are still in custody. The two young men are accused of having provided Payne with cocaine. They face up to 15 years in prison.

“We understand that the investigation of Liam’s death was absolutely necessary, and the family recognizes the work of the Argentine authorities,” said the relatives’s statement. The family accepts the decision of the Court of Appeal to drop all charges. “The family always wanted to mourn in peace and asks you to give her the room and time for it.”
