Oscars: No script price for “September 5”

In the race for the Oscar for the best original script, the German thriller “September 5” against “Anora” by Sean Baker had to surrender.
The German film “September 5” about the 1972 Olympic attack in Munich lost the race for the Oscar for the best original script. Instead, Sean Baker was honored for “Anora”.
“Anora” tells of a sex worker in the USA and is a mixture of romance, gangster comedy and social drama.
For “September 5” Moritz Binder, Tim Fehlbaum and co-author Alex David were nominated.
The film by Swiss director Tim Fehlbaum tells from the perspective of a US television team that was supposed to report on the competitions. Instead, the journalists become live reporters of a hostage-taking of Israeli athletes through a Palestinian terrorist command.
