Halle Berry
Revenge on Brody in the mirror dress
Halle Berry not only caused a sensation on the Oscars with their shiny dress, but also with a kiss for Adrien Brody.
As a particularly artistic disco ball, Halle Berry (58) came to the Oscars this year. Her dress for the big evening of Hollywood consisted of 7,000 reflective crystals, which connected to a corset and a maxi skirt with a train.
There was a thin network of black mesh under the thousands of mirrors. From the side, the actress’s legs shimmered through the thin fabric. The sparkling continued Berry with her jewelry: a thick clunker on her hand and earrings fit perfectly into the picture. With the rest of the styling, the “Moonfall” star held back: her bob had sparked her back behind her ears, the make-up remained natural and in the nude style.
A kiss for Adrien Brody
Berry not only attracted everyone with her dress, but also with a spectacular kiss campaign. On the red carpet, she also stormed on Adrien Brody (51) and – after an apology to his partner Georgina Chapman (48) – pressed a kiss on his mouth. But don’t worry: Everyone involved was warmly laughed at the campaign, which was Berry’s revenge, so to speak. 22 years ago, Brody also pressed her kiss on stage when he won the Oscar for the role in “The Pianist”.
Much a stir for Berry, who had not been nominated for an Oscar this year. She kept her fingers crossed her colleague Cynthia Erivo (38), who had chances for the Oscar as the best leading actress for “Wicked”, but lost to “Anora” star Mikey Madison (25). In Trevor Noah (41) podcast, Berry had told that she was tired of being the only black actress with this Oscar: “This year I hope that it will happen because I am tired of filling this place alone.” In 2002, Halle Berry won the Oscar as the best actress for her role in “Monster’s Ball”.
