Adrien Brody mentioned the children of Harvey Weinstein during his Oscar speech. This is how the imprisoned producer reacts to it.

The fact that Adrien Brody (51) also mentioned the children of Harvey Weinstein (72) as the best leading actor for the Oscar as the best leading actor has now triggered a reaction of the imprisoned ex-producer. Brody, who accepted the coveted trophy for his role in “Der Brutalist”, has been lined up with Weinstein’s ex-wife Georgina Chapman (48) since 2019 and apparently goes well with their children together.

“Harvey is happy for Georgina and is grateful that his children are loved and cared for as they earn it,” Weinstein let his spokesman Juda Engelmayer do “Us Weekly”. An unexpectedly positive reaction of the fallen film mogul, which sits in prison for rape and sexual coercion.

Special moment at the Oscar ceremony

In his acceptance speech on Sunday evening, Brody initially caused a strange moment when he spit out a chewing gum and threw towards his partner before starting his emotional thanks. “I share this with my wonderful partner Georgina, who not only revives my self -esteem, but also strengthened my meaning for value and my values,” said the actor.

The moment was particularly moving when Brody addressed the children of his partner directly: “And her wonderful children, Dash and India, I know it was a roller coaster ride, but thank you for accepting me in your life.” With a warm -hearted “and Popsy comes home as a winner”, he at the same time revealed the nickname with which the children apparently call him.

Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman have been a couple since 2019. The actor and fashion designer had met at an event by supermodel Helena Christensen (56). Chapman has been married to Harvey Weinstein since 2007. When it came out in 2017 that the then star producer was said to have systematically sexually harassed and raped women, she immediately submitted the divorce. It became final in 2021. Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison in 2020, and in 2023 there were 16 years in another trial.
