The Tiara and the bracelet were no longer used for more than 140 years. Now Queen Mary gave the jewelry a big appearance.
As part of her state visit, King Frederik X. (56) and Queen Mary (53) were welcomed to a gala dinner in the presidential palace in Helsinki on March 4 by March 4th by Finnish President Alexander Stubb (56) and his wife Suzanne (55). The Danish monarch performed historical jewelry.
Gold diadem with eleven gemstones from the 19th century

The diadem was created around 1820 for Caroline Amalie (1796-1881), the wife of King Christian VIII (1786-1848). He collected the eleven framed gemstones during the couple’s trip to Italy from 1819 to 1821, in which the two Rome and the ancient excavations in Pompeii visited. Princess Wilhelmine’s bracelet (1808-1891) acquired King Friedrich VII (1808-1863) during a trip in 1828-shortly before the wedding.
Both jewelry is part of the royal collection and are usually exhibited in the treasury of Rosenborg Castle.
17 appointments in two days
The state visit of Queen Mary and King Frederik in Finland is scheduled for two days. On March 4th and 5th, there are 17 program items on the plan. At the end on Wednesday, the Museum of Modern Art and the Aalto University are to be visited. However, the royal couple traveled earlier and made a trip to Lapland with the President couple on Monday. The four went on a cross -country skiing tour and went on a racing animals.
