Not every woman is blessed with dense, long eyelashes. If you want more abundance around your eyes, you can use a simple beauty trick: Fake Lashes.
Although the hype about Fake Lashes has only grew up in recent years, it has existed since 1911: Anna Taylor from Canada had her first band eyelashes sticking over that year. In the 1990s it was finally TV stars and supermodels that made artificial eyelashes popular. Since then, the techniques for artificial eyelash extensions have been further developed and have set new trends. But no matter what variant you choose, the fact is: Fake lashes are more popular than ever in women with thin or few eyelashes (whether prominent or not).
How do modern fake lashes differ?
In the meantime there is a large selection of fake lashes to stick on, which can differ in size and length, density and abundance. In addition, there are not only artificial eyelashes, but also those made of real hair – which are accordingly more expensive. But one after the other:
Ligament eyelashes
So -called band eyelashes are the pioneers of all fake lashes: the artificial eyelashes are glued on along their natural eyelash wreath and thus ensure significantly more abundance. Most models last up to twelve hours – and then end up in the trash because they usually cannot be used a second time. However, choose waterproof these may be used several times in a row. How often, always depends on proper cleaning and storage.
Eyelash
With this variant, the fake lashes consist of several eyelashes in a tuft. They are attached with the help of tweezers and some eyelash glue and ensure more volume and density. The can be tailored to the length and score primarily with the fact that – carefully cleaned, maintained and kept – they can be brought back into shape after wearing. Here, too, you need a little practice to put the fake lashes clean.
Individual eyelashes
This is about ,, which are available in different lengths. This gives you the opportunity to compress your eyelashes individually – or only on the outer wreath. Another advantage is that you can maintain your natural eyes (if desired) without it being artificial. The only downside: the attachment of the individual eyelashes is time -consuming, especially when trying.
That is why magnetic eyelashes are trendy
In addition to the fake lashes, magnetic eyelashes also conquer the beauty market. As the name suggests, the artificial eyelashes are not applied with a glue, instead there are two different variants:
- They are attached and held upside and below your own eyelash wreath using wafer-thin magnets. The attachment is associated with a little skill, but the routine becomes lighter. The lack of adhesive is spared.
- Or you use one In combination with artificial eyelashes: only one eyeliner has to be pulled and dry briefly so that the fake lashes stick to it. Here, too, reusability is one of the great advantages.
How to properly attach the wrong eyelashes
If you have never glued fake lashes, the first time – in the truest sense of the word – can go wrong. So that the artificial eyelashes sit straight, you will find a helpful step-by-step instructions below:
Step 1:
Regardless of whether you want to use artificial, real or magnetic lashes, you should put them on your natural eyelashes before use. This can be used to determine the correct length to which you have to cut your extensions (for a natural look). Use a small scissors for this. Ideally, the hairs do not have to be shortened.
Step 2:
Use the special eyelash glue for fake lashes by apply it thinly (if necessary, if necessary) along the eyelash strap. If you want to use individual eyelashes or eyelashes, the glue should only be applied accordingly.
Step 3:
Take the fake lashes in your hand and press it very carefully – and as close as possible to your eyelash edge – from the outside (i.e. the corner of the eye). As long as the glue is not yet dry, you can move the eyelashes minimally with tweezers. Then close your eyes and let the glue dry for a few minutes.
Step 4:
Finally, you can get the artificial eyelashes in shape with their real ones by showering them with a little mascara. If you are satisfied with the result (even without making a deterioration), you no longer have to use mascara.

How to remove the fake lashes
If the glue is water -soluble, the artificial eyelashes can be easily removed with a damp cotton pad. Put this on your eyes for a few seconds until the fake lashes begin to loosen – and you can carefully pull it off from the inside. However, if the glue is waterproof, you must use an eye make-up remover. Magnetic eyelashes, on the other hand, are easiest to remove them by grating them between the fingers and slowly loosening from the eyelash wreaths.
