A caller reports on a physical argument in Hamburg HafenCity. The police then storm the streamer Trymac’s streamer.
A call with false information has triggered a police operation at Youtuber Trymacs in Hamburg. In the afternoon, his apartment in HafenCity was stormed by special forces, among other things, after there was indications of a physical argument, as a police spokesman said. The emergency services then found that there is no threat situation. The “Hamburger Abendblatt” had reported.
The Youtuber, who was in the apartment during the mission, streamed the incident live on his channel. It is determined whether he or another person called the police and spread the false information.
Trymac’s apparently victim of Swating
Trymacs, who has 2.4 million subscribers on YouTube, said in an Instagram story: “So folks, you noticed that someone called the police …. but not with me.”
In such cases, the police speak of Swating. In this form of cyber harassment, perpetrators deliberately generate false reports and thus deliberate larger police operations with a high public effect. The term swatting is derived from the abbreviation Swat of the American special unit Special Weapons and Tactics.
The police are now investigating unknown to misuse the emergency call. The support patrol for difficult operating sites (use) was also involved in the operation.
