Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone (78) brings out his memoirs. The autobiography “The Steps. The history of my life” is to be released worldwide and also in German on October 23, as the Penguin Random House publishing group announced.

Stallone, born in New York in 1946, is considered one of the most successful action actors in film history and was mainly famous with the “Rocky” and “Rambo” film series. In 1976 he wrote the script for the boxer film “Rocky” and thus the role of the fictional boxer Rocky Balboa.

The film directed by John G. Avildsen became a hit overnight. He won ten Oscar nominations and won three trophies, for directing, cut and as the best film.

“This book is my legacy”

Stallone’s story is not only entertaining and inspiring, but also witness to a lot of fighting spirit, the statement said. “He tells of a difficult childhood in which he harassed and abused, shot and thrown into prison and therefore fought to find himself and his potential.”

According to the announcement, the US actor said: “This book is my legacy. It is the essence of what I have to say.”
