US actress Kat Denings actually has a much more bulky name. Now she revealed what inspired her to her artist name.
US actress Kat Dennings (38, “2 Broke Girls”) knew early on that she wanted to have a cool stage name. No wonder, because your bourgeois name would hardly have been suitable for a comet-like Hollywood career.
“It won’t work like this”
During an appearance, she revealed that as a little girl she decided to take her actual name Katherine Victoria Litwack and exchange them for something more gripier. “My real surname is litwack – that’s all you need to know,” she explained to the moderator there. She added: “When I was nine, I thought: ‘It won’t work for me. It won’t work.'”
In retrospect, Kat Dennings was extremely happy about the decision of her former self, which was “very far ahead” of his time. At that time it was a real “CEO situation” for her: “I thought: ‘You can’t show that on a poster’.”
Inspirations for your new name
In the conversation, she also revealed what inspired her for her early chosen artist name. She had looked at the new last name from the French wife of a good friend of her mother, whom Janine Denni was called. The fact that she shortened her first name Katherine to Kat had to do with the fact that the main character in the fantasy comedy “Caspar” (1995) also belonged to Kat. At the age of nine, this was her absolute favorite film.
